London-Based Gangster Admits to Assassinating INLD Leader

Nafe Singh Rathi

New Delhi: A gangster based in the United Kingdom, Kapil Sangwan, has publicly claimed responsibility for the murder of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) chief Nafe Singh Rathi. Utilizing social media as his platform, Sangwan asserted that he orchestrated the killing of Nafe Singh, alleging that the victim had associations with rival gangster Manjeet Mahal and was involved in illicit property seizures with Mahal’s brother, Sanjay. He accused Nafe Singh of backing Mahal in acts that led to the death of his relatives and associates.

Sangwan issued a stark warning, suggesting that collaboration with his adversaries would result in severe retaliation, symbolized by the ominous promise of “50 bullets” ready to target such affiliations. He highlighted the fear Nafe Singh instilled in Bahadurgarh, asserting that many of his violent actions went unchallenged due to his influential position.

Criticizing the police for their perceived lack of action, Sangwan suggested that their inactivity compelled him to take matters into his own hands. In contrast, Haryana’s Home Minister Anil Vij assured that justice would be pursued rigorously, with the CBI now leading the investigation into Rathi’s murder. Jhajjar’s SP, Dr. Arpit Jain, echoed this commitment, indicating that suspects are already facing scrutiny.

The assassination of Nafe Singh Rathee, executed near a Bahadurgarh railway crossing, has evidently stirred both public outrage and a resolute response from law enforcement, underscoring the ongoing battle against criminal influence and violence in the region.
