Former MP Jaya Prada Declared “Absconder” By Rampur Court, Arrest Orders Issued

Jaya Prada

Film actress and former BJP MP Jaya Prada has been considered ‘absconding’ in two cases relating to the violation of the code of conduct. The decision had come because Jaya had not appeared before the court in a hearing, despite repeated notices, including non-bailable warrants against her.

She was also issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) several times, but the MP/MLA court in Rampur issued CrPC order 82 for her non-appearance even on Tuesday. In the same connection, Senior Prosecution Officer Amarnath Tijson of Amroli said that the code-of-conduct case of 2019 election against Jaya was registered in the court of the Special MP/MLA Court Rampur in Kemri police station and Swar police station.

MP/MLA Magistrate Court Judge Shjsonhit Bansal issued NBW to Jaya for remaining absent on the previous dates in the court. The report by Inspector Ranji Trivedi sent by him clearly mentioned that the accused was protecting herself, and her mobile was switched off.

After that, the demand was to take action under Section 82 CrPC against the accused Jaya before the court. The order has been made, and the next date fixed is March 6.

The new Superintendent of Police is now directed to form a special team that will work to arrest the former MP to produce her before the court on March 6, which is the next date of hearing.
